Transform your space and empty WoodWick® candle in to a stylish vase for any elegant floral arrangement. Simply take a bunch of your favourite seasonal blooms and add water to create an eye-catching centrepiece.

Simply take an empty candle, remove the old label, and tape off a square using masking tape. Paint the square with primer, and once dry, do a second coat with chalkboard paint. Once dry, write on your herb name with chalk; and plant your herb with a handful of gravel at the base of the empty candle to help keep your soil drained.

Elevate Your Office Space

All you need for this upcycling idea is an empty clear glass candle vessel and your choice of water-based acrylic paint and a paint brush.

We recommend painting the inside of the empty candle, allowing the outer surface keep its natural glossy sheen. Why not use an arrangement of multiple vessel sizes for a dynamic shelf or desk presence and to store different work supplies.

Create a Centerpiece

Take your empty candle and create organic brushstrokes using a water-based acrylic paint on the outside of a clean, empty candle.

Once the paint is dry, create an arrangement of flowers and greens for a stunning centrepiece.

Leather-Wrapped Planter

To make your own, first cut a strip of faux leather to fit your candle glass. Lace up the edges with a matching cord. Slide the cuff onto the empty candle, then fill with a plant or fresh flowers.

Propagate your favourite plants with WoodWick®. Simply remove the lid from your candle jar, and using a power drill, drill through the centre of the lid using a 6mm wood drill bit. Fill your jar with water, and place your cutting through the hole in the lid so that the node of cutting sits in the water. Once your cutting has grown roots, you can remove and replant.

There are many ways for removing leftover wax from your candle — just pick your favourite safe method. Once it's free from any leftover wax, we recommend using warm soapy water to remove any residue and allowing to dry before upcycling.
